Nancy Lockie, Ed.D., professor of nursing, and Kristen Florczak from Purdue University Northwest presented a research paper at the 42nd Annual Research Conference of the Midwest Nursing Research Society in Cleveland, Ohio on April 13.
Their collaborative presentation entitled "Losing a Partner: Do Continuing Bonds Bring Solace or Sorrow?" is a longitudinal qualitative descriptive study in which the purpose was to bring forth a deeper understanding about bereaved partners' continuing bonds with one who is deceased.
