Biography

Jean Kirk DNP, RN, joined the 荔枝视频下载 family as a full-time faculty member in 2021. Before Kirk's recent appointment, she served as adjunct faculty. Kirk completed her doctorate in nursing at Loyola University with a focus on infection prevention. She holds her master's in community nursing and leadership and her BSN from 荔枝视频下载.

Before joining 荔枝视频下载, Kirk was employed by Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where she began her career after being chosen as a Mercy Scholar -- and the hospital paid her senior year tuition at 荔枝视频下载! Kirk has held various roles at Mercy, the most recent as the director of infection prevention and control. When Mercy Hospital changed ownership, Kirk found her way back to 荔枝视频下载. She has an interest in healthcare-associated infection prevention, emergency preparedness, emergency nursing, quality, and safety.

Kirk has four children, two of whom share her passion for nursing, and two grandsons. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, traveling with friends, and walking the shores of Lake Michigan looking for treasures.
